Christina Johnsan Interview

Christina Johnsan |

I am the Director of Marketing & Communications at Future Market Insights, a London based market research and consulting firm. I started my career as a research analyst and have hands-on experience in preparing market research reports.

What do you see as the biggest changes in your industry?

Digital media has certainly brought some major changes in our industry. Those market research companies that adapt to the changes brought in by digital media, especially social media research and analytics will continue to be competitive, whereas those who fail to adapt might find it really tough to survive. Overall, incorporation of digital media and big data will play an important role in the future of the market research.

How will these changes impact the public?

Well, market research is traditionally thought as a B2B industry, but today, it all boils down to a great customer experience. Social media is all about the conversations that people have in their day to day lives. Their opinions and perception provides key insights into what can work or what needs to be changed. I think the changes in approach to market research will augur well for the public in the long run as manufacturers will actually focus on providing products and services that actually work.

What are your biggest goals?

Well, our biggest goal right is to become one of the most trustworthy market research companies in the world. I use the word ‘trustworthy’ rather than leading or dominant because that is what we strive to achieve. We want businesses to identify us by the level of effort we put in making every research report. We want to be known for not only the quality of our work, but also for going above and beyond to help businesses make the right decisions.

Who and what do you need to reach your goals fast?

I think the quality of our work and the right marketing and branding techniques will be the keys to success. We need to reach out to businesses and spread the word about our business and the work that we do here at Future Market Insights.

Who should contact you and why?

Well, I would like to become a regular contributor to your site by submitting insightful press releases and high quality articles; so I think an editor or content head or any person who is in charge of accepting submissions can get in touch with me.
